HMRC Tax Horrors and Citizen Abuse

This is really a post about an extremely useful and helpful website I found the other day.  The site author became a journalist in the early noughties after doing a course and somehow managed to fall foul of HMRC Tax Office. The result of his findings are brought together in an extremely useful website, with many subsections leading on to other useful connected material, including citizens rights where the HMRC are concerned.

According to the website, many employees of HMRC  tax office hate their jobs and there is apparently a lot of workplace internal bullying of employees within the HMRC tax office organisation.

The really abominable thing though, is how the public are lied to and abused, by the HMRC tax office and HMRC tax credits organisation.  No investigation/examination or review is ever random according this website, despite the public being told differently.

I would personally say that probably after a few bouts of indignation, the majority of the public will give in, either for a quiet life or because they are scared.  The truth is, despite the Human Rights Act 1998 being in force, it is largely ignored, especially by the government authorities, usually because HM's Government keep bleating about prisoners or foreigners in the UK abusing the The Human Rights Act 1998.  Truth is, the government do not like this Act at all and try to malign it in public wherever possible. This is true of all the political parties in the UK.

Billionaire government ministers and people who have been given peerages for being actors, sportsmen or entertainers don't care in the slightest about the general public, only their own glory.  That is also true of some, (but not all) MPs and local councillors. Public funding is cut back more and more, so that the public cannot get free funding for a solicitor to help them fight their case and greedy capitalist solicitors charge more and more for their services. Victims of HMRC tax office reviews are left with woefully inadequate Citizen's Advice options.  Again Citizen's Advice Bureau is an arrogant but actually useless organisation where a few advice workers get paid good money and everyone else is a volunteer.  I know because I was once a CAB volunteer myself. Hard work for no pay.

 NB.By the way this is not a 'rant'.  The word 'rant' used for someone having an opinion and airing their views comes from a religious sect of Dissenters called Ranters.  We don't say someone is having an Islam if they express their views, or having a Sikh or a Catholic, so in just the same way using the word 'Rant' to describe someone expressing their feelings could be seen as religious discrimination.

Someone once told me I'd make a good Shop Steward. I don't believe the man in the street should be trampled underfoot.I used to belong to The Socialist Worker's Party and sold their newspaper for them.  I think stately homes should be turned in to housing for the homeless and don't believe in peerages. However I think it is all well and good fighting of the rights of others, provided that the people you help are prepared to help you equally too. It should be a help co-operative, as the saying goes 'Charity Begins At Home'.  

In the local supermarket they give out green counters for customers to put in clear plastic boxes with various named charities and the charity with the most counters gets a financial donation from the supermarket.  I don't put the counters in any of the boxes but leave them on top for someone else to put in.  When a charity does something for me then I'll do something for them.  No until. Once again many charity workers are claiming high wages from funding.  A lot of donations you make to television advertisements will pay the charity worker's wages!

Group 4 Spy Car in Hawthorne Avenue Shipley

A man in his late 30's or early 40's was seen spying on residents in a street in the Shipley area, near Bradford in West Yorkshire.  The photo was taken at 16.36 on the May 30, 2012. We do have a much clearer version, not shown here.  The car is a Citroen C1 and the reg is KY11 EUA. Group 4 Security have been contacted over the matter as stalking is illegal.  Also in the UK the Protection From Harassment Act 1997 applies.

The best thing to do if you see a strange car is to make sure that others see it too then you have witnesses.  Also if you have a witness, there is no excuse that the person in the car has pulled up to make a phone call, wait for a friend, have a drink, snack, or send a text.  None of these applied to the Group 4 Security man in the car as he was in the street doing nothing except observing, for some time.  In other words, he was a nasty little spy and don't forget folks with all people of this nature, don't let the company car fool you, he could still be a dangerous pervert, for all anyone knows.

Best to alert someone, if you are not sure, for your own safety and peace of mind.  It's just common sense.

Gang Stalking West Yorkshire

There are a great many accounts of certain forms of Gang Stalking on the internet, although over the past few years some of these accounts seem to be wild and far fetched as they do not stick to facts or attempt to gather evidence, but just point the finger and accuse.  There are a number of videos on YouTube, all supposedly of gang stalking incidents, but most of these videos could be of anything they are not evidence of gang stalking in themselves and neither do they prove it.  There are still plenty of weird individuals around who may follow you in the street for example, but that doesn't mean that they know you individually, they may have never seen you before but they may have just decided to follow you.

When my mother was 15 she got off the bus near Bolton Road in Bradford and was followed by a man who also got off the bus and he tried to speak to her.  When she ignored him the man pushed her over. Luckily my mother could run very fast as a girl and she jumped up and ran off, managing to reach her friend's house.What I mean by this example is that the man wasn't a gang stalker, but an opportunist attacker.

Compliance Team Tax Credits Farce

There are fairly copious amounts of posting on a number of internet forums regarding the UK Tax Credits Compliance Team.  If you look up the addresses given by the Compliance Team on Google Street Maps you may get a shock.

The Compliance Team send out letters that say certain claimants of Tax Credits are 'randomly selected'.  This is actually a lie.  no one is 'randomly selected'.  Claims brought to the attention of the Tax Credit Fraud Team as possibly dodgy, or flagged up by other agencies - such as a local council for example, are the ones picked for assessment.

The victim of the Compliance Team is not told what is suspected to be wrong with their claim, or indeed if they are suspected of wrong doing.  Instead the Compliance Team start asking the victim to provide reams of personal information, in an effort to entrap the victim, who is, as I said, at no time told what they are supposed to have done wrong.

The victim is given a time limit to provide the information and threatened with the discontinuation of their Tax Credits or penalties if they refuse to hand over the information.  The victim is not told what exactly will be done with any information they provide or who will look at it.  Sometimes a victim is asked to ring a phone number where they will be interrogated.

It would also appear that the Tax Credits Compliance Team outsource their investigations, not only to other companies, but also to persons outside the European Union, where the Data Protection Act 1998 and The Human Rights Act 1998 would not apply and where data on the victim, illegal to obtain in the UK or EU would be obtained by persons working in countries abroad where such rules would not apply.

The whole thing is an absolute disgrace and I would urge anyone who feels they have been wrongly or unjustly contacted by The Tax Credits Compliance Team, to lobby their local councillors, MP and the Government, such as writing to the Prime Minister and also contact newspapers and magazines.

The longer the public accept being treated like dirt then the longer this treatment will go on.

The excerpts above are from a letter received by a colleague who was claiming tax credit but who now due to a change in circumstances, no longer does.

Would you entrust your private and personal information to a person who is unable to write a letter in English properly?  Yes we all make the odd typing error, but not continuously or all the time like the person who sent the letter to my colleague.  It was more like a phishing scam, the letter looked incredibly dodgy and looked like whoever wrote it was totally illiterate.

Another possibility is that the letter was translated in to English by a computer programme who obviously got it wrong.  How dare the Tax Credits arm of the HMRC treat customers in such a disrespectful (and downright laughable manner), it is truly appalling and should not be allowed to carry on.

If anyone disagrees with what I am saying here then all I am asking is - would you trust someone who sent you a letter, chock-a-block with spelling mistakes, purportedly from a government agency?

The Not So Secret Garden?

This person used to work for the Parks and Gardens department of our local council until around 2008. After this he has acted more and more secretive, hiding behind banks of CCTV cameras placed all round his house.

From the photos you can see that the person likes neatness and order, without necessarily having much creative imagination.  The grow bags and the like appear to come from a B&Q store.  I would say these people are intensely private themselves, whilst having the need to closely watch others in a one-upmanship kind of game.  The persons even watch CCTV in their bedroom. Corrr!

The Secret Car Stalkers

 

First of all, I am going to digress, I want to tell you about my neighbour, who has CCTV cameras all around his house.  He is absolutely paranoid about anyone seeing him, as he hides away behind blinds along with his wife, desperate that no-one ever should see in to his house.  I actually have a brilliant view of his garden from my upper side window and there is nothing he can do about it.

This neighbour feels completely persecuted by just about everyone and calls the police on a regular basis. He has himself been arrested on occasion, but does not apparently care about that at all and it has had no effect on him whatsoever.  You could call him the neighbourhood crank or the neighbourhood informant, whatever.

I will probably put up some pictures of his garden and house which I thoroughly enjoyed taking from my window whilst himself and wife were in bed asleep.  But then since he spies on me every time I go in to my garden which he watches on CCTV, I feel I'm entitled..

These are spy cars, possibly police, hanging around in the back road.  Apparently a police team patrols the area in plain cars, according to their disgruntled cop boss, Sgt Firth

Another little trick that the police apply down Prod Lane in Baildon, Shipley West Yorskhire, is to put uniformed police in marked police cars higher up the road, which goes on to Shipley Glen, nearby to West Lane, the idea is to drive everyone else towards the UNMARKED police cars further down, to believe they are getting naughty in peace.  You are not so be warned.
